Question 30

How can I tell if dark spots in my bathroom or crawlspace are active mold?

Accepted Answer

Active mold usually appears as dark green, black, or white fuzzy patches accompanied by a persistent damp odor. If moisture is present, it requires certified containment and treatment to prevent structural degradation and health hazards.

Question 31

How does crawlspace or attic mold affect indoor air quality in living areas?

Most residential mold remediation projects take 1 to 3 days. Once contained, scrubbed, and dried out, the area is safe for occupants, and structural rebuilds or drywall repairs can begin immediately.

Question 33

Do you install crawlspace vapor barriers and dehumidification systems?

Accepted Answer

Yes. To prevent mold from returning, we install heavy-duty polyethylene vapor barriers over crawlspace soil, seal crawlspace vents, and set up commercial dehumidifiers to keep relative humidity safely below 50%.

Question 34

What causes recurring mold around bath exhaust vents and air conditioning closets?

Accepted Answer

Recurring localized mold stems from trapped humidity, uninsulated ductwork, or minor plumbing leaks. We fix hidden leaks, install high-CFM exhaust fans, insulate duct lines, and replace affected drywall with mold-resistant sheetrock.

Question 35

Are your mold remediation methods safe for families and household pets?

Question 39

How do I know if a plumbing leak in my crawlspace caused structural subfloor rot?

Question 40

How do you fix subfloor water damage before laying down new tile or LVP flooring?
